Vincent Franco "Duke" D. Franco is a congressman for Cebu's 5th congressional district.

Early life

Frasco was born in Liloan, Cebu to Former Liloan Mayor Panphil “Dodong Daku” B. Frasco. He went to college in the Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, from there, he got a degree in accounting. He also got special training in the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government.[1]

Career

Frasco ran for Mayor of Liloan for the 2007 Philippine general elections, winning with a majority of 70%. He ran again unopposed for the 2010 Philippine general election, becoming the youngest mayor in Cebu. He was the chairman of the Municipal School Board, the Municipal Development Council, and the Municipal Health Board, and other positions. Duke Frasco is also the Vice President for Internal Affairs of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines, Cebu Chapter and Director and Co-owner of the Titay’s Liloan Rosquillos and Delicacies, Inc.[2] Frasco ran for the Congressman for Cebu's 5th congressional district, winning against former congressman Red Durano, with Frasco gaining 222,288 votes against Durano’s 108,596 votes.[3][4]

Personal life

Frasco is married to Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary and former Liloan, Cebu Mayor Christina Frasco. The couple having four children.[5][6][7]

Education

Frasco supports enhancing the quality of education, and creating scholarship programs for children.[8]

Controversies

On October 30, 2023, Frasco and his wife was charged of “illegally and unjustifiably delivered vehicles as ambulances to Barangays Looc and Poblacion” on February 14, 2022, by Danao City Barangay Captains Don Roel Arias (Looc) and Joselito Cane (Poblacion), but the complaints were cleared by The Office of the Ombudsman.[9]

Personal life

Frasco married Christina Codilla who was also a former mayor of Liloan, in August 2009.[10] They have four children together.[11]
