Luka Kulenović (born 29 September 1999) is a Canadian soccer player who plays as a striker for Dutch Eredivisie club Heracles Almelo.
Club career
Early
In 2014, Kulenović left Canada and joined the youth academy of Bosnia and Herzegovina side Borac Banja Luka. In 2016, he joined the youth academy of fellow Bosnian side Krupa. In 2017, Kulenović joined AS Trenčín of Slovakia.
In 2018, Kulenović returned to Bosnia and began his professional career with First League of the Republika Srpska club Željezničar Banja Luka. In 2019 he signed for Croatian side Osijek II. In 2020, Kulenović joined fellow Croatian side Kustošija. Later in the year he returned to Bosnia and signed for Premier League side Rudar Prijedor. In 2022, Kulenović signed with fellow top-flight club Sloga Meridian. He scored three goals in his first three appearances while playing for the club.[1]
Slovan Liberec
In July 2023, Kulenović signed for Czech First League side Slovan Liberec.[2] He made his debut on July 23 against Baník Ostrava. Kulenović scored his first goal for Slovan in his second match against Mlada Boleslav on July 30.
Heracles Almelo
In July 2024, Kulenović signed a four-year contract with Heracles Almelo of the Eredivisie.[3]
Personal life
Kulenović was born in Toronto, Ontario and grew up there until the age of fifteen.[4] He is of Croatia and Bosnian descent through his parents,[5] with his father hailing from Banja Luka.
