Territorial extent	England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, except that sections 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 extend only to England and Wales and Scotland, sections 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 extend only to Northern Ireland, and an amendment, repeal or revocation contained in Schedule 1 or 2 has the same extent as the enactment or instrument to which it relates.[2]

The National Insurance Contributions and Statutory Payments Act 2004 (c. 3) is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.

Section 5

Section 5(1) was omitted by section 129 of, and paragraph 11(c) of Schedule 43 to, the Finance Act 2008.

Section 13 - Commencement

The National Insurance Contributions and Statutory Payments Act 2004 (Commencement) Order 2004 (SI 2004/1943 (C. 85)) was made under section 13(1).
