Pyranthrene is een geslacht van vlinders uit de familie wespvlinders (Sesiidae), onderfamilie Sesiinae.

Pyranthrene is voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven door Hampson in 1919. De typesoort is Pyranthrene flammans.[1]
