American Colony

American Colony in Jerusalem var en koloni i Jerusalem. Den ble etablert av en amerikansk kristen utopisk gruppe i 1881, under ledelse av ekteparet norske Anna og amerikanske Horatio Spafford (presbyterianer). Ikke lenge etter kom det også svenske lutheranere til. Etter Det britiske Palestinamandatet ble kolonien okkupert av Jordan, frem til Seksdagerskrigen i 1967.

American Colony ligger nord i Øst-Jerusalem.

Koloniens gravlund er i National Garden tilknyttet Hebrew University of Jerusalem på Mount Scopus.

Selma Lagerlöfs roman Jerusalem (1901-1902) gjorde kolonien berømt.
