Ridderhatter (Lepista) er en slekt av sopper. Lepista inngår i familien Tricholomataceae, ordenen Agaricales, klassen Agaricomycetes, divisjonen stilksporesopper og riket sopper.[1][2]
Ingen ridderhatter er giftige, og flere er gode matsopper.[3] Felles for dem alle er at de ikke farges gule når de påføres Lugols løsning, en oppløsning av jod i kaliumjodid.[3] Et sporeavtrykk vil bli blekt skittenrosa, og ingen av dem har helt hvitt sporepulver.[3] De vokser som råtesopper på jord og strø, noe som betyr at de bryter ned dødt organisk materiale.[4]

Denne listen følger Catalogue of Life, med ett unntak. Lepista personata (Fr.) Cooke, er ifølge artsdatabanken og andre et synonym til Lillastilket ridderhatt Lepista saeva (Fr.) P. D.
