Arthur Herbert Copeland (Rochester, Nova Iorque, 22 de junho de 1898 – 6 de julho de 1970) foi um matemático estadunidense.
Obteve um doutorado na Universidade Harvard em 1926, orientado por Oliver Dimon Kellogg.[1] Lecionou na Universidade Rice e na Universidade de Michigan. Seu interesse principal foi sobre os fundamentos da teoria das probabilidades.[2][3]
Trabalhou com Paul Erdős sobre a constante de Copeland-Erdős. Seu filho, Arthur Herbert Copeland, Jr., é também um matemático.
Foi palestrantes do Congresso Internacional de Matemáticos em Oslo (1936).
Dentre seus alunos de doutorado consta Ronald Getoor.
