Paul Derby, gerente do Benchmark Lab, deu um jeito de mandar duas vans carregadas de equipamento para Hollywood para a filmagem, acompanhado de Jerry Sterns do Benchmark Lab que supervisionou o equipamento enquanto no set. Depois que a maquina foi retornada a Minnesota, ela foi inspecionada e testada, e quando cada máquina era vendida, uma nota era feita no registro corporativo de que a máquina tinha aparecido no filme.[5][7]
  • They Live (1988), por John Carpenter – Enquanto Roddy Piper testa seus novos "óculos de sol" que permitem a ele ver o mundo como ele é, ele olha para um propagada para a Control Data Corporation e vê as palavras OBEY (obedeça).[8] The film's credits include "special thanks" to CDC.
