Dmitri Yafaev

Dmitri R. Yafaev (Дмитрий Рауэльевич Яфаев;^[1] São Petersburgo, 2 de janeiro de 1948 – 16 de junho de 2024) foi um físico matemático russo-francês.^[2]

Obteve o grau de Candidato de Ciências na Universidade Estatal de São Petersburgo em 1973, orientado por Mikhail Birman,^[3] sendo lecturer de 1973 a 1977. De 1977 a 1990 foi pesquisador no Instituto de Matemática Steklov em São Petersburgo. Na Universidade de Nantes foi professor associado de 1990 a 1992. É desde 1992 professor pleno na Universidade de Rennes I.^[2]

Foi palestrante convidado do Congresso Internacional de Matemáticos em Berlim (1998: Scattering theory: Some old and new problems)^[4] e em 2003 no 14th International Congress on Mathematical Physics em Lisboa.^[5]

Dmitri morreu no dia 16 de junho de 2024, aos 76 anos.^[6]
