Sydney Luxton Loney (Chevithorne, Devon, 16 de março de 1860 – Grande Londres, 16 de maio de 1939) foi um matemático britânico, professor da Royal Holloway, Universidade de Londres.[1] Autor de diversos textos matemáticos, alguns dos quais reimpressos diversas vezes. É conhecido como um dos influenciadores iniciais de Srinivasa Ramanujan.[2]
Loney foi educado na Maidstone Grammar School, em Tonbridge e no Sidney Sussex College (Cambridge), onde obteve a graduação com o título de B.A. como 3.º Wrangler em 1882.[3]
