Robert Cedric Sherriff (6. jun 1896 - 13. novembar 1975) bio je britanski književnik, najpoznatiji po ratnoj drami Journey's End kao i scenarijima za nekoliko zapaženih britanskih i hollywoodskih filmova.
Prije nego što se počeo profesionalno baviti pisanjem, radio je u osiguravajućem društvu. Od 1914. do 1917. je služio u britanskoj vojsci u prvom svjetskom ratu, pri čemu je ranjen. Slavu je stekao nakon što je Journey's End praizvedena 1928. godine u režiji Jamesa Whalea. Godine 1937. je ista drama, adaptirana za televiziju, prikazana na programu BBC Television Service, postavši prvom televizijskom dramom u historiji.
